You can't assume that just because they give you their name and number that they are legit. I had one email me his name and a legit phone number but once I mentioned that I was aware of scams going on, I never heard from him again. The first "red flag" should come up once there is talk of sending more then the asking price. I also tell them that the funds must clear first because of te scams that go around and I usually don't hear from them again. The more we tell them we are on to their game to sooner we can get them out of here.
