Posted by: Jeff Clark at Fri Nov 18 23:33:32 2005 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Jeff Clark ] ....It has dark lines coming down below the eye and those dark markings angling down along the lower side of the neck and the overall lighter head color of a Texas Indigo rather than an Eastern Indigo. I think Gus posed the snake like that so we could easily see the upper labial scales to make positive ID. Eastern Indigos have darker black heads and usually but not always have red or red-orange lower jaw and throat. [ Hide Replies ]
