Walk into any Home Depot or Lowes, etc, and I do not think they sell a plant that you would have to be concerned about, thorns and otherwise. Use some basic common sense of course ... no cacti ..... just whether or not it looks sturdy enough to support your animal, and is appealing to you. Some plants can be problematic to keep alive, but that is not a bother of your pet. Every "toxic plant" list that I have ever seen was based on toxicity to mammals and humans, and have kept many chameleons on such "toxic" plants with no ill effects. All of you basic household type plants are very safe. Link
