I have decided to trade my striped guyana red tail for some more ball pythons. It is about 3.5-4 feet long, with a full stripe from head to tail only broken once by maybe an inch. My question is how do I come up with a fair deal? I have looked on breeders web sites, this and other forums, and classifieds here, and I cant find anything like it. Most of the "striped" snakes they were selling in the classified were less then 1/4 striped up from the tail. I have time before the next local show (Dec. 10th) to figure it out. If I cant find anything suitable keeping the snake and finding a mate is still an option, space and food are not a problem, but I would rather have a more diverse collection of BP's. Another option would be to hold him awhile grow it bigger and try trading later in the year. To make a long story short how would be the fairest way of determining its worth, I dont want to get taken to the cleaners but I still want to be fair to the person I would be trading with. Any advise would be welcome.
Thanks in advance, Jay
