One wonderful thing this forum has done is to make all of us aware of our responsibilities regarding these wonderful animals. I raise Spanish Norman horses, and the time commitment as well as the financial responsibiltiy are becomming too much We just recently had our female to the vet with an MBD problem (her jaw became deformed four months ago). She is now on proper supplementation (I had thought I was giving her proper supplementation..but each chameleon is different)and has almsot completely recoved. My male received parasites from crickets (vendor will remain nameless) receieved which got a few trip to the vet also. Both are on the mend and doing great, but now we have 24 eggs hatching...36 next month and 30 more in two months....just the 11 that have hatched (three were born dead) have just about done it for me. They deserve a better owner than I and before we get to the point where we cannot take care of them, we want to get them to good homes.
