I had a customer bring in a two foot Columbian they had for 4 weeks, and said it was eating but not pooping. The snake has a very large soft bulge right before the vent. The snake still wants to eat, but I've been reluctant about feeding. If it is impaction, it did not occur under my care, as I feed all my snakes in bare containers, then put them back in their enclosures to digest. I'm not sure what the care they were giving, but I am under the impression they were feeding one hopper per week.

What are the best ways to fix this? I have been trying feeding mineral oil, and the oil is being passed. I've tried prolonged soaking in warm water as well. Is there anything else I should try, or does it just take a while to clear out the system? I haven't had to deal with this before, and would prefer some expert advice. Thanks!
