....I have a report by Brendan O'Connor of him capturing 2 adult regal ringnecks about the same size & bagging them together, only to find 1 gorged later. Despite a number of introductions & 1 previous litter of neonates...& a few feeding trials w/ DoR's...Id never witnessed this...

Photos of other spps of Diadophis balled together made me lean towards the idea that Brendans Ob was likely an anonomoly...



Then this weekend mixed things up somewhat...!



These little guys have had very little food since hatching 8.22 & thus I feel this occured under duress, but there was no recent food items introduced to trigger this & it is a data point nontheless...I lament I will not know if venom was used to incapacitate its sibling...
