BP doesn't like rats.

My BP has eaten a F/T mouse every 5 days for the past two months (she was a few weeks old when I got her). I thought I would try a F/T rat (about the same size as the mice). On Sunday I threw in a rat (I feed in a large rubbermaid container - not her cage) and she went over and sniffed it and then just crawled away. I tried moving it around with some tongs, but she was not interested. I waited until last night (Tuesday) and tried a different one (slightly smaller) and she did the same thing.



Is it difficult to switch to rats? She doesn't seem interested at all. The last mouse she ate was pretty big, so I am wondering if I should wait until she is very hungry and try again. I am going to be leaving Friday for a week. since she hasn't eaten now for about 10 days, should I feed her a mouse tomorrow night before I leave, or should I just leave her until I get back and hope that she will be hungary enough to eat a rat?
