Posted by: toshamc at Sun Nov 27 10:34:17 2005 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by toshamc ] Scales are formed by overlapping flaps in the skin - since there is a lack of scales there is a lack of overlapping which I beleive makes the stand alone scales more beaded looking - you'll notice when you look at areas of the derma where there are normal amounts of scaling they are normal in appearance. The other scaleless snakes also appear beaded. Either that or you can chalk this up to another deforimity the snake has - LOL - but (IMO) unlikely the result of a cross. [ Hide Replies ]
