Thanks adam for the great advice and explanation. I have several different care sheets bookmarked-- and just about have them memorized !! ugh !! this cham thing is snowballing into a OBSESSION !



I recall the importance of having a floor that is easy to clean, does not pool water, will not harbor areas prone to mold and strong enough to support weight of potted plants.



While you could put some support beams across the underside of a CHEESECLOTH base ( for the potted plants ) I bet your right that it eventually would wear from basic fiber wear. God help you should the crix be free-ranging about the cage ! That cloth would be quick to mimic swiss cheese i'm sure ! ugh.
