>>With the VERY precipitous drop in prices of recently introduced dominant and co-dominant morphs, it seems to put both the top tier producers and secondary buyers in interesting spots.
>>
>>In the future, the top tier producer would seem to want to hold back and aquire as many of these "new" animals as possible, thus maximizing his/her financial punch when the morph is finally released and prices are (hopefully for them) higher.
>>
>>This strategy is interesting in the fact, that, it will be noteworthy to see if people are still willing to shell out big bucks with the foreknowledge of how quickly prices have fallen in the recent past.
>>
>>The second tier may just say I am going to be patient and wait for the price to drop.
>>
>>This would leave the top tier in an interesting box.
Well, not really. The next new co-dom thing gets released for some big loot and few buy it. The breeder holds onto it works it into their other projects and looks to sell the more common mutations to pay the bills knowing they are only getting more out of the new Co-Dom. At some point they have made some Co-Doms that they can sell and have some combos and they now can drop the price to a price that sells and they do well. They leave out the first round of middle men and accomplish more for themselves in the long run.
I don't think you could call that a box.
But who am I, just a janitor and rat cleaner!
