I had not seen that Iguana rescue story, thank you for sharing Lele. I think my vet could probably retire tomorrow with all the money we have given her for Koko, our Chameleons and Geckos. Thank god she hasn't! She has been wonderful.
It's good in a world with so many unwanted Iguanas that some people we're created to be owners of one. I was one of those people and I never would have known it if someone hadn't given me an Iguana. If you have wanted one most of your life, I think that you might also be one of those people. You should consider getting one. I've never said that to anyone before now. I don't recommend Iguanas as pets because they require a lot of care. I know with the animals you have and have had in the past that you are a good candidate. There is not very many people that are good fits for Iguana ownership.
The cage is probably going to be your biggest obstacle. The one Koko has was previously used by a 20' Python. She still had her tail when she first moved into it. Now that she is only 22" long, it sorta dwarfs her but she likes it okay. Thanks, Lele, let me know what you think. Valerie.
