Actually, they are insectivores (though some do eat other lizards and small birds), but veiled are the one that will eat vegetation. The guy definitely exaggerating that "it won't make it"
Just a few more veggie and fruit ideas: strawberry & butternut squash were 2 of Luna's favorites - she would practically fall off her branch to get a piece of strawberry! There is a bearde dragon site with a great nutriton chart for dragon's. I used it as a guide for gutloading feeder insects as well as to what was safe to offer Luna (and of course, Darwin) see link below
