>>Hey Guys,
>>Trying to get my veiled chams to breed they are each in their own 22g Reptarium with false greenery.
I have a couple of suggestions...
22g Reptariums are WAY too small for full grown female Veileds, let alone males!
I would HIGHLY suggest moving them to MUCH larger enclosures. For the female, maybe a 18x18x36, for the male, maybe something bigger, like maybe a four foot enclosure.
Also, how often are you supplementing? Sounds like you might be oversupplementing.
As for breeding these two: I suggest putting that project on hold until:
1. you put these two into LARGER enclosures
2. you re-examine your husbandry. Look into how much supplementation, uvb light, etc your chameleons really require.
3. REALLY look into the WHY you want to breed your chameleons in the first place.
Until all these issues are examined, I'm afraid your resulting baby chameleons (if any) might have a hard life, possibly suffering from early illnesses and MBD.
Good luck with this. Please- RESEARCH!!!
And when you think you have all the issues covered, RESEARCH AGAIN!!! ----- Victor Gomez
