I just purchased this beautiful yellow CB Nabire tree python baby snake from a reptile show in atlanta. Cost me some $$ but well, well worth it. Anyways I put him/her in its environment and there seem to be no problems, accept it was a 30 gallon tank. I soon read on the forums that you need to put babies in a smaller container (rubbermaid). Which I’ve done now. I’ve had him for 4 days, the guy I bought him from said he was eating frozen pinkies once a week. Well I tried feeding him and he didn’t eat. I took him out of the cage(30 gallon) to put him in another environment to feed him, but no go. My question is do you feed him in his environment or put him in another container?? I figured since I just made him a smaller environment I would wait a couple of days before I try again so he can adjust. But surprising enough when I held him it was awesome. Didn’t strike, just a little jumpy but he wrapped around my arm and was generally calm, I was very surprised since I’ve heard how testy they are as babies. How often should I hold him as a baby to tame him?? And any other additional info. that you think I should know would be nice. I am an experienced handler but this is my first tree python.
