Daniel,

Wonderful video! It is very difficult to even get pictures like that in the field. What province did you make the video in? Of all the time in the Philippine jungle, I only came across V. salvator The only V. olivaceus I have ever seen are the ones that come through in the pet trade.

Some sad news. I recently came back from NE Thailand, where V. bengalensis can be considered wiped out of most if not all of the Nong Bua Lamphu province. Cause: human predation. Most still do not know it is protected by law. Thankfully, it is holding on in the neighboring province of Loei, where an extensive national park system protects them.
