I found some plastic dog bowls with the wide bottoms from one of the online pet supply stores. They are lightweight, so far impossible to turn over, and inexpensive - so I bought a bunch of them. When I replace water, I use a clean bowl. I rinse out the dirty one and then soak it in a bleach/soapy water solution until I have several accumulated. I then scrub them out under clear running water with a brush and then I run them through the dishwasher. It may be overkill, but at least I know they are clean and free of any nasty bugs
As long as you rinse them good, dish detergent won't hurt.
>>how does everyone clean their snakes water bowls? I was wondering if using dish soap or detergent is bad for snakes.
