Your right. You would definitely be putting your boas at risk for Salmonella. Now I've heard that almost all reptiles carry salmonella. I don't know if that is true or not. But I would hate to expose a healthy boa to salmonella if it did not carry it. I guess you can have a fecal test done by a vet and if your snake is already carrying salmonella then I would say go ahead and feed it poultry.
