Snakes are creature of opportunity. You may want to wash the smell of Rodent off of your animals before putting them back together again becouse the female will be laying there waiting in her ambush position and all of a sudden you have this male poking and prodding on her with his head smelling like a little Rat. The female smells Rat and sees movement and figures if it moves like a rat and smells like a rat then it must be dinner.
I would never introduce a snake that smelled of rodent to another snake you are bound to have problems.
