The previous owner really didnt know what he was doing. The snake was under fed and the tank temp was roughly 105 degrees, "he spends all of his time soaking". He was suppose to be this overly agreeive snake and i was told "the only time you can hold him is when hes feeding." meaning when his mouth is full. So anyways, when i got him I did all the right stuff. He was in his own tank with only the basics: two hides water dish and unmarked newspaper for substrate (currently useing forest floor stuff.)He did develop mites.....some how. So I bought mite off and cleaned the tank, the snake, and all the stuff in the tank with it. However about every four months since then he develops mites. Im currently useing mite off and spray out (1&2) to clean the tank when the mites come back. BUT what I really need is some kind of perminant fix. He is feed only frozen thawed rats from rodentpro. So at this point im at a total loss..... thanks guys........ [ Hide Replies ]
