Breeding an Imperator

I have a beautiful 8' Female Imperator. I would like to breed her. Do I have to find an Imperator male or can I breed her with any Redtail Breed. She is so unusually nice for an Imperator I thought of breeding her with something a little more interesting than an Imperator to get some nice offspring. Will it work?
