I read somewhere that some importers/exporters have actually gone to the less fortunate countries to setup farms and pay for cheap labor. Maybe it provides jobs for local people and, if done properly, could take stress off of wild populations after a farm is established. Maybe some universities or field researchers would know something about the well kept hidden locations of farms.
