regarding mold...

I don't use any mold inhibitors in this recipe. I think the whole purpose of adding yeast is to begin the break down of the insta potatoes.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't FF's eat molding fruit? I think they need a SMALL bit of something to break down the fruit. Mebbe it's the little bit of mold?

At any rate, I don't have issues with mold with this recipe. It goes a bit brown in the first few days, but that's only until the FF maggots start to grow. Then it just sorta stabilizes. Kinda seems to be just on the verge of all going bad for a few good weeks.
