from my experience, I would say average size of an adult is probably 4 1/2' long.

Then again, that is considering a fairly new to semi-established collection (1-5 years).
Would be great to ask some of the older, more established breeders that have had their stock for 10-20+ years...

Unfortunately, these seemingly don't exist, or may not be able to, considering most, if not, all Nicaraguans have been imported over the very recent years.


Here's my count...
I have 4 adult Nicaraguan Females
2 of the are 4 years old and 4 feet long
1 of them is 4 years old and 4 1/2 feet long
one is a freak... a rescue, unsure of age, 9 feet long

*** This 9 footer is the first i've seen or even heard of for a Nic... frankly, I thought it was not possible. There IS a chance she is a cross of some kind, although it does not appear to be so.


There are a few members here with nice Nic collections spanning 1-5 years in age. Hopefully they can chime in as well.
