If your tanks is large enough to create a decent temperature gradient that allows for correct thermoregulation then it should be ok. The size of the UTH also needs to be taken into account. It is generally suggested that the UTH be placed on one side so it covers 1/3 of the bottom of the tank. You need to measure your substrate temperatures with a digital thermometer and compare them to the optimum of 89-92*F on the warm side and about 10 degrees lower on the cool side. | ||
