There are folks here that are trying to crackdown on it but the problem is that as long as it is legal to sell them in the markets (and it is as long as they follow the guidelines -- WHICH SO Many DON'T) No one seems to enforce it. ALso they sell tons of redbelly turtles and sliders painted turtles, snappers and softshells there too. All kept in hideous conditions. Most (save for the softshells and possibly the sliders) are wild caught (not farm raised)animals. | ||
