I have found them to be hardy and non-demanding turtles that eat essentially anything. I feed them mostly generic "trout" pellets and Reptomin. The only one I lost escaped and hid in an obscure area of my basement and dessicated. They are not cheap and I believe I paid over $250 for my last one from Glades Herp(lost all my aquisition records recently). I have 2 males.
