Hey forum,

it's been a while!
I've got a question, is it normal for a male boa to stay with a female after her POS? The male was introduced back in October and has been busy courting ever since. I saw a lot of the normal signs, she did the twist, swell, got dark, etc and just shed this morning. Everything seems pretty by the book, however the male is still on her. He continues to follow her around the cage, resting on her no matter where she is. His tail and body are just wrapped loose around her and he stays with her.
Could it be that he is just inexperienced or overly excited and doesn't know when to stop? If it wasn't for the male's behavior, I'd say the female is gravid (90% sure).
This is the first breeding for both of these snakes, female is a 1998 and male is a 2001. Thanks for any opinions or help!
