Central American Boa is already a much better answer than a common boa! I am pretty sure "common boa" refers to BCI, but that contains a lot of different localities, some of which look nothing like the other. For example; Hogg Island, Roatan Island, and Colombian Boas are all BCI. Besides, everytime I hear common boa it's refering to the COMMON boa, the Colombian Boa. For a little extra enlightening information, the Andes mountains in South America form a divide between BCI and BCC species. Most of colombia is south of the Andes and is home to a "Colombian" BCC, along with Peru, Brazil, Guyana, Suriname. North of the Andes, you have the Central American species and the BCI colombian. This is where you find Honduran, Nicaraguan, Costa Rican and even Mexican boas. So in conclusion, there really is no such thing as a common boa! A simple answer for simple people maybe. | ||
