Know what, i've heard that reference a few times now...
I think what that is refering to is...

When Doug M was posting/showing pics of his Sharp Pastel Dream Sunglows, one with intense color was going into shed...

That animals tail had deep, intense reds... and when the animal was opaque, that coloring looked maroon, or burgandy.. almost brown, especially if viewed under low light.


I know adults tend to acquire similar intense coloration, and it may appear darker under certain conditions, and as the animal matures. By no means have I seen a brown Sharp animal....

If that's not it, then hey... just my attempt at answering this and other comments I saw like this..
