well when it comes to boas, or any large enclosure needing animal, you dont really use gallons. I have read on here you should have an enclosure that is as long length wise as the snake, but obviously this may somtimes be hard to achieve.example 13 foot burmese python = 13 foot long enclosure, not very realistic.
I would say from my own experience, give your boa enough space to move freely and provide enough room for the snake to thermoregulate, move to different areas of the enclosure to achieve different temps. I would like to add that this info is only my opinion and is in no way the only way out there to house large snakes.
thank you
Brian
