I have a few individuals that are incredibly difficult and just don't seem to want to stay still! I find that natural sunlight seems to make them even more active too.
If you haven't tried this already, you can use the "cup method". Basically, I use a water bowl and put the snake underneath it. Leave the snake in there for a minute or so. This will give the snake a chance to kind of chill out. When you pick up the bowl, the snake should (hopefully) be perfectly posed for you! Give it a try. I find that it works well, especially on extremely active snakes like Milksnakes or Kingsnakes. I hope this helps.
