Hypo is a dominant genetic trait that shows if at least ony hypo gene is present.



Heterozygous or het is the correct term for having only one abberent gene.



Super referes to having both genes Hypo. Only two ways to prove:



1. Raise it up and breed it to a normal, if all the babies are hypo, then the snake being proven is a super. Could also be done crossing the test subject with a known het for hypo. Since only 1/4 of the babies should be "normal" or non-hypo, IMO having all hypo's would not 100% prove out the super parent. Even more so for a smaller sized litter.



2. All the babies from crossing two known supers would also be supers.





As stated in other posts, Salmon is a specific hypo line.



Sunglows are the combination of two genetic traits, Hypo which you only need one gene to get the trait to show and albino which is recessive and must have both genes present for the trait to show.
