All I do is take a papertowl or two and soak it with warm water, squeeze it out so as it's pretty moist, and place in the pot. For the most part, I only do this when I know my snakes are going into the blue, but not a bad idea to give them a warm moist choice all of the time.

The only thing that concerns me about having the humid hide there all the time is scale-rot. I know that if they sit on too much moistness, this can develop. I had a humid hide in the enclosure with one of my snakes and he was ALWAYS in it... which concerned me... so I took it out. Now, I only put it in, like Steve, when they are in the blue. Any thoughts/ideas?
