I dealt with Lloyd several times in the mid '90's. He was a breeder with a huge collection that he kept in a building in the back of his house in central California. He worked with a huge number of colubrids and boids. In talking with him he told me that he went to prep-military school here in NC (where I'm located) in the sandhills. I remember him telling me he knew of the exact location of the rest area were Michael Jordan's father was kidnapped, I don't know how we got off on that, but that was typical when talking to Lloyd, you usually ended up talking about a wide variety of things. One of my main interest is Eurasian Ratsnakes and Lloyd was telling me back then about these outrageous asian ratsnakes that rival milksnakes in color, I know no the he was talking about coxi, and he was telling me they should be available soon in the US but at this time few of us were aware of them. I really do not know much about his life but I would be interested in knowing the full story of this interesting and important person in American herpetoculture. I do know that he died of cancer a few years ago.
