first, the boa should be skinnier then the ball. a healthy boa is more like a box with rounded edges.
as for the RI, i dont think its contagious. get the boa to a vet to determine if it is a problem. for a temperoary fix, up the temps in the cage a bit. almost always wheezing is a sign of an RI.
