Do milksnakes release smelly anal gland contents?

I read in a book that "...some kingsnakes release anal gland contents when handled. This grainy, very smelly substance is smeared over a hand or on clothing, producing a penetrating smell that is strong but somewhat sweet and clinging." I was wondering that since kingsnakes are related to milksnakes, do milksnakes have this same problem?
