Morphs are caused by abnormal genes. Genes come in pairs, one supplied by the female and the other supplied by the mail.

Recessive traits require both abnormal genes to be present for the trait to visually show.

Dominant traits only require one gene for the trait to show AND cannot be 100% distinguished from those animals with both abnormal genes.

Co-dominant also requires one gene for the trait to show. The difference is there is a third "look" for those that have both genes.

Het refers to heterozygous or having only one abnormal gene

Hom (slang = super) is Homozygous or having both genes the same.
