REPTILES magazine, but the December 2004 issue had an article on Dumeril's Boas. Many Dumeril's in the U.S. have white spots under their chin, and this WAS thought to be from inbreeding. Since there is a selective origin to the Malagasy boas this theory made sense.

However under examination of wild specimens it was noted that many of them also have the white spot.

I also noticed on my Leopard the small group of white scales.

Celia, see if your Leopards have this. Mine also has an Orange belly (I know not all do) and the two traits may be linked.
