Jeff,
You are right. He is a young adult. He is a June '03 animal and is about 4.5 ft. Pete Kahl has some nice adults. Here is a link to one of his: http://www.pkreptiles.com/collection/view_details.asp?id=70000003

Also, Ruben has an awesome female for sale in the classifieds right now.

Here is a pic of an adult normal female BCI with what I consider to be great color as an adult. Not all brown out. This female is even darker than normal as she is in the middle of ovulating.
