I would go ahead and try him every week but I wouldnt be surprised if he took that long. It is amazing how much energy we and other mamals use just to maintain a constant body temperature, snakes dont have that concern so they can go a long time without replenishing sort of speak. With a small hatchling I might be a little more concerned but with a big boy like that he is fine.
