Back in 03, I had a Suriname have birthing complications and she ended up retaining a bunch of babies. Within the week following the initial birth she passed a couple of babies. Actually she didn't pass them totally on her own. Part of the babies were hanging out the vent. Gently I helped her get them out. She was behaving totally normal, resumed feeding etc but she still looked a little thick. I took her to the vet for x-rays and sure enough she had more in her. The reason they were difficult to see and to pass is the membranes had already ruptured and the snake were laying in her oviduct long ways.

She had surgery, three more babies were removed. She was not bred in 04. I bred her this year, 05, and got 19 beautiful babies with no complications.

Good luck with her,
Mark Damico
