Respiratory infection

I am in the midst of treating a RI in a Calking. She got sick during a transport. The vet gave me some Baytril injections for her on the 5th of January. Ten injections..one every other day. I finished the round of meds and she was doing much better as her mucus was not longer present and she was eating well and gaining weight. Howevershe was still a bit raspy and clearly not completely healed.



Now that she has been off the meds for one week the mucus is increasing in her body again so we are putting her back on Baytril with the expecations of keeping her on it for at least a month. Sorry to drag this out but I just wanted to let you know that sometimes these things do take time to heal and even after treatment you need to keep an eye the snake and keep the temps up for a while to help it out.
