Posted by: Horridus at Thu Feb 2 11:46:11 2006 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Horridus ] This animal is from a locality in GA where the animals are as solid black as any I have seen, unfortunantly I don't have any full body shots of this snake. This snake was approx 24-26" long and already you had to really look hard to see the blotching. So far, all of the obsoleta from this area that I have found are like this (7 yearling-subadults/9 adults/MANY DORS) The adults are absolutly stunning. I will be making return trips to this area and will try to get better photos. It's difficult due to the fact you usually find them crossing roads at dusk, and getting a good shot is difficult (at least for me) since they are protected they cannot be collected for "next day" photography. The "log" is a prop I carry with me to photograph animals on. Enjoy. | ||
