female musking male?

danktat Aug 20, 2006 01:47 AM

I just put my two surinams together this evening for the first time and after about an hour or so the female seemed to be "following" the male to the normal resting spot behind the water bowl. My question is this.....after another hour the male had some white creamy stuff on his body and the female was on the other side of the cage. When he approached (after I cleaned him off) she raised her tail and released some more of the creamy "urate" and exposed her cloaca...Is she musking him as a warning to get away?

I think she's saying " I'm in the mood for love."
