Flash photo of Suriname male...

RioBravoReptiles Aug 04, 2003 08:38 PM

.. I'm trying to figure out taking pics at night. I see a lot of neat stuff when I'm out and about at night but I don't like having to grab it up for photo ops in the morning.

This guy is one of our project males, very colorful. A word of caution.. apparently some boas don't like this flash stuff when it is dark and are willing to show you how mad they get!

pictures at night of the pink, red and purple ones for a couple reasons. They change to a deeper color at night and the flash does not wash out the color as easily. Good luck with him he is beautiful. Mike

Did his color come out accurately? I always struggle when I use the flash because it seems like I always end up washing out some of the boa's color.

.. yes, that's what he looks like, complete with attitude! The only thing about the flash is it seems to flatten out or wash out the nice velvet-look to the deep red on the tail.

Thanks for your comments.
