New Litter - Born 8/10/03

Guy Scavone II Aug 11, 2003 09:49 AM

This was the result of DH X DH. It was the females first year breeding and i'd say she did a great job.

The final count looks to be:

1 Snow
4 Albinos
4 Anerys
14 Poss Hets

Nothing quite like a baby snow to get ya goin'

On a side note there were twins in this litter. One baby came out still in the sac and while I sat and stared, mesmorized at the litter, I noticed some movement and out popped a head followed by another head.... quite a surprise.

In regards to more pics... there's more to come!

As far as the genetics on the babies....

The Albinos are all 66% possible hets for Anery.

The Anerys are all 66% possible hets for Albino.

And the normal appearing offspring are all 66% possible double hets for snow.

Hope that helps....

Agreed.

Agreed.

Hmm. I get 66% possible het for Anery and 66% possible het for Albino. Multiplying those figures together produces 44% probability that a given normal looking baby is double heterozygous.
