This little fellow was born on June 5th 2003 in an otherwise normal litter of boas. All of his siblings are in the 16" to 18" range, while he measures a mere 6". He doesn't appear to be getting any longer - just thicker. He is essentially, the same size as he was when he was born. BTW, he was perfectly formed at birth - he is not a premie.
He has been taking regular meals (mice pinks) and is in excellent health. He is just about to shed for the 2nd time.
The attached picture was taken 8/10/03
Has anyone here ever had a "dwarf" born in a litter?
I'm curious if this could be a genetic trait that can be passed on, or is it simply a fluke thing.
I would appreciate everyone's thoughts on this.
Thank you,
Mike Greathouse...
