My yearling female Hogg always strikes at the side of her enclosure (rubbermaid) after being fed. I now cover her box after feeding, but have noticed that her lower jaw now appears to be slightly off center and has a small indentation just right of center. I have not tried to feed her since the last time (which is when she did the damage I think), and am concerned about feeding her too soon (before it heals). Has anyone else experienced this? Any recommendations?

Look closely .. it could be that she has caught her lip on her teeth from the strike ?if so carefully pry open her mouth and try to dislodge it with a tooth pick or something to the effect. depending on her size you may want to have a extra set of hands hope this helps ...

I had a boa get into a feeding fight and the jaw was completely pulled backwards and mangled, the bone was broken and sticking out of the side of his mouth and so were the teeth, I snipped the teeth with nail clippers and the vet clipped the jaw bone, it really made me feel sick as it was looking soo bad, the jaw was off centre and streched for a while but he heeled competely and looks normal now, I waited to feed him for a week or so and he never refused a meal after that.

I think you will be fine, as these babies heal really well, they strech back to normal after a while. If there isnt and blood or broken skin I would feed him whenever he is due a meal.
