A couple pics of my Suri...

Simbo Aug 11, 2003 07:17 PM

This is my yearling male Suriname. He is going into a shed cycle and, like the last set of pics I posted, the lighting was awful. He is pretty difficult to photograph... hard for my camera to capture the true color. Unlike the Hog, he sits still for pics, so maybe one of these days I will get a good one.
Enjoy,
Eric

as for the first pic... with low light levels, you'll probably never get a good back-lit picture in that light, the second is pretty decent but you already know you need more light (good job not using flash). it's hard to get decent light... CE lives in Arkansas... I think they have perfect light all the time there that's his secret! lol

Do you (or anyone else reading this) ever adjust the exposure compensation on your camera? I was considering trying that for a few of these shots, but I never did. Once it stops raining here in upstate NY I will have to take these guys outside for a photo session.... maybe I will have better results then.
Thanks for the complements bro.
Take care,
Eric

i get better pics that are more accurate w/out adjusting the exposure and just letting the camera select it for me (don't know enough yet to set it manually every time).
looking forward to some sun-shiny pics

to get out them out in the sun. Be sure to post some pics of Daytona when you get back. I can't make it this year and I would love to see some pictures.
Take care,
Eric
